Alliss Invitational Wheelchair Presentation

Friday 8th March 2024

On Friday 8th March we had our annual presentation of wheelchairs and other Mobility Assistive Devices to young people from our local area!  We are pleased to announce that the Alliss Invitational Charity Day (hosted on Monday 4th September 2023) raised just over £54,000, providing Mobility Assistive Devices, funding for sensory rooms, and power packs for those in need, including children from Montacute School, Victoria Education Centre, Langside School, Linwood School and Beaucroft College. The Charity, along with some very generous members, also purchased a Variety Sunshine Coach, which was donated to Montecute School in Septemeber of last year.

Captain's Drive In

Graham Butler

Wednesday 27th September 2023

On Sunday 24 September, Ferndown Golf Club played host to our annual Graham Butler Trophy. This 36-hole medal event was renamed in memory of Graham Butler a notable past member of Ferndown and a successful club and county player who won the Dorset County Championship 10 times between 1959 and 1978.

Latest Course Report

Thursday 21st September 2023

As I write this report I look on in dismay as the wind and rain batters our famous heathland golf course. We have enjoyed the last few weeks of glorious sunshine and we have managed to get through some really big events with the course in fine fettle. We have just one outstanding major event which takes place this Sunday on the Old Course, the Graham Butler Scratch Foursomes.
