Hardy B match report from our weekend semi-final.

Hardy B team look forward to the Plate Final

The Hardy B team won their semi-final in the Plate competition against Christchurch at Bulbury Wood on Sunday 3 1/2 to 1 1/2.

This was a tremendous result for the Ferndown team. Craig Palmer and Daniel Lavell led the way with a 4&3 win. Followed by wins from Martin Dix and John Campbell 4&2 and Mark Haslingden & Richard McBride 2&1, confirming Ferndown’s place in the Final.

 However, it was the second match that resulted in a stunning outcome for Ferndown with Andrew Summerville & Ian Clark securing a half-point with two birdies on the final two holes!!

The final match of Steve Davis and Bob Jackson saw a 1 up win for Christchurch but by then the Ferndown celebrations had already begun!!!

Ferndown can now look forward to the two-legged final against either Wareham or Bulbury Woods. These two clubs play their semi-final on the Alliss course next weekend.
