Ferndown Golf Club is proud to have been awarded the Women in Golf Charter status by England Golf and The R&A. This recognition follows our detailed proposal outlining our clear and proactive commitment to increasing female participation across all levels of the sport.
We believe that everyone in the golf community has a part to play in fostering a culture where women and girls are welcomed, encouraged, and empowered—whether as players, professionals, administrators, or leaders. Our goal is to see more women and girls both enjoying the game and building careers within it.
We fully recognise that achieving this goal requires a lasting cultural shift. The ethical imperative is undeniable, and the economic and social benefits of a more inclusive game are equally compelling.
By signing the Charter, Ferndown Golf Club has pledged to:
