What a treat we all had for those who went on the Captains awayday to Bearwood Lakes Golf Club. It is a fantastic venue and golf course, certainly the Ferndown members made full use of the facilities including the bar…the Guinness barrel had to be changed before golf even got underway!!

The golf course was in excellent condition with some challenging pin positions which presented a challenge, even off the yellow tees. It was a case of plotting your way around the hazards and features on this attractive rolling woodland setting where water is never far away.

Scoring during play was recorded on GolfGenuis so we could see how everyone was getting on in the pairs and individual competitions with the final outcome only decided on completion of the very last game.

Richard Thomas, Captain was a superb host for the day, as always, and for those on the coach some great banter and singalong on the way back before some ‘chasers’ to end the day back at Ferndown Golf Club….thanks Will for keeping the bar open!
