Help 4 Heroes - A Word from the Captain

On Thursday 13th April, Ferndown’s Help for Heroes charity organiser Derek Silk and I were delighted to hand over a cheque in the sum of £7,500.00, to John Carpenter, the Area Fundraising Manager for this excellent charity.

This sum was raised at the event held at Ferndown on Friday 10th March, by the great generosity of all participants and the hard work of organisers. A further sum of £2,500.00 was also added to Dorset Children’s Foundation, my Captain’s charity for the year. A massive thank you to all involved!

On a sad note, Help for Heroes founder, Bryn Parry, lost his battle with cancer the previous day, after a long illness.

Our thoughts and condolences go to his family at this time.
