Hardy A vs Dorset Golf and Country Club

Sunday saw us take on Dorset Golf & Country Club in our 3rd league match of the year. Another solid team performance, well done to everyone that played! The final score was 6 1/2 to 1 1/2 in a match were everyone brought back a point or better.

Dorset G&CC were kind to us, giving us an overall total of 5 shots around our own track. In form Phil Bill was the only Ferndown player to give shots but his opponent needed far more than 2, losing 7&6. Adam Rowe made it 3 Hardy A wins on the bounce, while on fire Ronnie Young debuted for the team, winning 6&5. Great stuff.

My feature highlight of the day was seeing Dan Eason's 2nd shot into 18, pitch short of the flag and roll 16 inches just passed the hole, for a gimme birdie and the game to win 2 up.

Great to see us at the top of our division midway through, our final 3 matches are all away and will be a test. Bring it on. On a side note; we don't give 4 ft putts anymore, at least not on the back 9 haha!

Next match is away to Meyrick Park on the 27th July, 1pm start.
