The rescheduled Dorset Ladies County Championships got underway on Thursday 17 June with the Johnstone Cup and Silver challenge 18 hole medal qualifier.
Friday was scheduled to be the 36 hole County Championship stroke play qualifier. However heavy and persistent rain resulted in the day having to be abandoned, leave an 18 hole stroke play qualifier to be played on Saturday morning 19 June with the top 8 qualifying for the match play stages being played in the afternoon and Sunday.
From then on golf resumed as normal and Ferndown Golf club was treated to some very special golf and exciting matches, with added interest from participating Ferndown members. However Lilli came up against the very talented, and eventual winner, Melissa McMahon from Lyme Regis Golf Club ,in the first round of the match play and lost a creditable 4/2.
