Harold Hilton, the Open Champion in 1892 and 1897 designed our renowned 18-hole ‘Old Course'. Harold was in fact, the only British amateur golfer to win the British and US Amateur titles in the same year (1911). Ferndown opened for play in 1913 and went on to become one of the top golf Clubs in Dorset and the UK.
