Alliss Invitational Wheelchair Presentation

Friday 8th March 2024

On Friday 8th March we had our annual presentation of wheelchairs and other Mobility Assistive Devices to young people from our local area! We are pleased to announce that the Alliss Invitational Charity Day (hosted on Monday 4th September 2023) raised just over £54,000, providing Mobility Assistive Devices, funding for sensory rooms, and power packs for those in need, including children from Montacute School, Victoria Education Centre, Langside School, Linwood School and Beaucroft College. The Charity, along with some very generous members, also purchased a Variety Sunshine Coach, which was donated to Montecute School in Septemeber of last year.

Captain's Drive In

A massive thank you to everyone who supported the Captains at this year's Captain's Drive-In! We are delighted to announce that we have raised £729 from the Drive-In Sweepstake which will be split equally between the Captain's and Ladies' Captain's charities.

Ladies come Runner up in Parkin Cup

Friday 6th October 2023

The Parkin Cup final was played on Sunday at Weymouth against Broadstone. Our team of Pauline Ward, Sara Lees and Helen Bridgman did Ferndown proud but on this occasion, we were the runner-up.

Our Ladies scratch team have made it the triple!

Tuesday 3rd October 2023

We’ve retained the Humphreys bowl for the 3rd consecutive year. Not a feat achieved before by Ferndown Ladies ! The team have played superbly, all season beating off some stiff competition from Remedy, Parkstone, Hockley and Highpost in our scratch knockout competitions. Some fantastic golf played by all to get us to finals and topped off Sunday with fabulous golf to beat Broadstone in the Dorset Ladies Humphreys bowls scratch final!

Latest Course Report

Thursday 21st September 2023

As I write this report I look on in dismay as the wind and rain batters our famous heathland golf course. We have enjoyed the last few weeks of glorious sunshine and we have managed to get through some really big events with the course in fine fettle. We have just one outstanding major event which takes place this Sunday on the Old Course, the Graham Butler Scratch Foursomes.
