Alliss Invitational at Ferndown Golf Club raises over £39,000 for charity.

On Monday 5^th September Ferndown Golf Club hosted the Alliss Invitational Charity Golf Day sponsored by JM Scully Ltd. This event raised a staggering £39,500 for The Peter Alliss Wheelchair Charity and Ferndown Captain’s chosen charities. The auction was hosted by Mike Osman whose persuasive skills helped secure the outstanding total.

The monies raised though the generous support of golfers participating at the Peter Alliss Invitational and Ferndown Golf Club events was presented to the beneficiary charities including a presentation of powered wheelchairs to local disabled young people by Harry Redknapp.

Harry Redknapp said “I have played in the Alliss Invitational and previous Salterns Alliss Merlo for many years and it’s great this year to witness first-hand how the money goes to such deserving charities.”

Ian Walton, General Manager said “Previous in 2014 the Salterns Alliss Merlo Pro Celebrity competition which came to a close after 28 years broke through the million pound barrier. It is fantastic to see that the new competition format, now in its second year, has already raised £77,000 to support life changing charities.”
