What a lovely day we had at Goodwood yesterday!

With one member of the first group getting lost on the Goodwood grounds, the tee sheet had a last-minute re-jig! But the (new) first group teed off at 12 pm and the day was officially underway.

Given the challenge of a limited water supply, the course was in good condition and ended up dishing out some interesting bounces!

It was a shame that 'The Kennels' (the clubhouse) shut down so early but we managed to find our way to the Bar & Grill at Goodwood Hotel for the post-round drinks and prize giving.

The winners for the day were as follows:

1st Place - David Lees, Sara Lees, Martin Ross and Pauline Ross (88 points)

2nd Place - Steven Dunworth, Peter Hall, Martyn Jones, Andrew Menzies (85 points)

Nearest the Pin - Martin Haskell (who unfortunately couldn't stay for the prize giving)

Longest Drive - Richard Holmes

A twos competition was also run on the day, so congratulations to Adel Hanna (1st hole), Brendan Delaney (1st hole), Julia James (8th hole - also worth 5 points!) and Peter Heasman!

The prize money for the twos competition can now be collected from the office.
