Under the guidance of Murray Long, Courses Manager the Greenkeeping team have been busy creating features and aesthetics of the course enhancing the heathland nature.
New heather plugged bunkers and heather mounding can be found on the 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th holes of our Championship Course. This heather plugging is part of our actions to re-establish the look and feel of our heathland course with its well-positioned bunkers and subtle hazards.
Perhaps the biggest challenge for golfers is the 8th hole and our new bunker complex, The Warren, extended down the left hand side that gives a real sense of risk and reward.
On the 9 hole Alliss Course much work has been undertaken improving the playing surfaces, including the greens and surrounds as well as the general presentation. This course now, whilst only 5748 yards, offers a really interesting alternative challenge to the Old Course.
